WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

You'll be missed, but we completely understand that destination receptions require both financial commitments and time. Please don't feel pressured. Let us know either way by RSVPing. 

DO I HAVE TO HIKE TO GET TO THIS DINNER?

Denver Botanic Gardens is located in the city, so no hiking shoes are needed! There's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the Woodland Mosaic Solarium, our private venue. Click here to download a map. Look for building #49.

Semi-formal fall wedding attire. Daytime temps in the fall can be in the 60s & 70s, but then drop to the 30s at night. The solarium will be heated.

WHAT'S THE DRESS CODE?

Please keep guests to only those on the invitation. Our venue has a guest limit, and we had to keep it intentionally small.

Nope! We'll already be legally married when you join us:) We're eloping solo with a photographer in Mount Rainier National Park the first week of October.

We're already asking you to travel for our celebration! No need to pack additional things. But if you feel called and have the capacity to give, you can contribute to our Honeyfund.

WHAT'S THERE TO DO
IN DENVER?

We have reserved a block of rooms at a few hotels. Click here for a list. Otherwise, Airbnb and VRBO have lots of places if you want more variety.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

If you want to explore the mountains outside of Denver, possibly.  There are bus services to multiple points of interest. If you plan to stay in Denver, it's easy to use Uber or Lyft, as well as use the city's public transit.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

The weather in Denver in the fall can range from 30 degrees to 70 degrees (sound familiar?). The key difference is that it's dry as hell, and at high altitude.

WEATHER BE LIKE?
Take it from us. Denver FYI.

Denver sits a mile above sea level — and altitude doesn't wait for you to hit a trail to make itself known. Even light activity, a glass of wine, or a poor night's sleep can feel very different there than at home. Rachel learned this firsthand (the hard way).
 

To help you feel your best: drink more water than you think you need (and less alcohol than you'd normally have), plan to move more slowly on your first day, and give yourself grace if you feel more tired or winded than usual. Headaches, disrupted sleep, and mild nausea in the first 24-48 hours are common and temporary.
 

If you're flying in, plan to arrive a day early, if possible, to let your body acclimate.

Packing suggestions:

  • Electrolyte/hydration packets

  • Sunscreen/sunglasses

  • Pain medication

  • Layers

  • Lotion, lotion, lotion

  • Nasal spray
